- Merry christmas and happy new year from Jake Green Band. Wow, what a year it's been, and what a year this one promises to be. We're pushing our new CD to bookers and associates all over the world. If you know of anyone we should get in touch with, please don't hessitate to write us a mail or hit us up on Facebook. Our new Reverbnation profile is coming along nicely, and we'll be looking into getting a distributor both online and physical for the CD soon.

- Jake Green Band is proud and pleased to announce that our new record is launching today at Mojo blues bar in Copenhagen. It's a live CD featuring outtakes from the concert we played at the Malmo festival this summer.

- Lars Heiberg has decided to leave Jake Green Band, favoring other projects and his family instead. We're sad to see him go, and wish him all the best in the future. The mighty Hans Rosenberg has agreed to cover for Lars on the next couple of gigs (Mojo's on the 15th of July, and at the Malmoe Festival on the 22nd of August) - which we are very excited about.

- Had an amazing trip to Texas, playing 14 times in 12 days in Austin with my new buddy and blues brother Bleu Lane, and caught both the amazing Pinetop Perkins memorial concert at Antone's, and an amazing performance by the ridiculously talented Guy Forsyth. Met so many nice and friendly people as well as amazing musicians, and I can't wait to come back. Hopefully this will be on tour in September with Doctor Blues and the rest of the "European blues invasion". Meanwhile me and the rest of Jake Green Band are looking forward to gigs at Mojo's, as well as the Malmoe Festival in August.

- Happy new year everyone. 2010 was great, and 2011 threatens to get even better. Plans of a CD release, possible tours to Thailand and Texas respectively, and continued conquest of the scandinavian territory. Oh yes, 2011 will get very interesting indeed. - Big stuff has been happening. "Jake Green & The Usual Suspects" is no more. We all parted as friends, but as time had progressed people were drawn to other projects, and it seemed like a good time for a change. So I'm thrilled to announce the new "Jake Green Band" featuring a whole new lineup of new and old friends. Read more in the Bio section.

- Lots of things has happened lately and it was time for a major update. Jake Green & the Usual suspects recorded a 3 song demo which can be found on the player in the Music section - along with downloads of the same demo. I also updated the music section with a video recorded by the incredibly talented amateur videografer Thorkild and his crew at the Aalborg blues festival. The calendar also got an update, but really the calendar on Myspace is the one to look at if you want to stay updated on gigs featuring Jake Green.

- Returned from an awesome trip to Thailand recently. Haven't got many pictures from gigs I did down there yet, but I hope they will come. More can be seen at the Myspace website. Thanks to everyone in Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya for taking time to jam and hang out, and generally make it another great trip. The Phuket blues festival was great and I can recommend anyone to drop in on it next year if you have the opportunity.

- Jake Green and The Usual Suspects went to Spain to play a gig at the rock bar Climax in the city of Banyoles. We were very well recieved and owe especially Mr Ed of Ella Electrica a big thanks for setting up everything and providing gear. We had a great time and hope to come back soon.

- Just returned from my second trip to Bangkok, Thailand where I had the pleasure of playing with among others Soi Dog blues band as special guest, and was invited to fill in as guitarist for Doctor Blues of Billy The Mountain. 2008 is looking to be a great year, and I return full of energy and good memories. Thanks guys for making me feel right at home.

Jake Green Band is one of the most promising names on the danish blues scene. In a music genre that is both strongly traditional and a bit hide-bound in style sometimes, this band shows there's still a kick to blues rock. They aim to break the boundaries without smashing them.

The Jake Green Band style is a mix of powerful blues rock, heavy shuffles and heart-wrenching slow-blues you can feel deep in your soul.

These are skillful, experienced people who are passionate about what they do. It has power from that passion, and they work hard, sweat more, and draw the audience into the feel of the music. This dedication has landed the Jake Green Band some very high-profile gigs such as steady monthly weekend gigs at Mojo Blues Bar in Copenhagen, and repeated invitations to play the blues tent at the Malmo Festival in Sweden. Both are highly sought after, and not something you land unless you bring something special to the table.

Now it's time to turn it up a notch with their new album recorded live at the Malmo Festival this past summer, it is time to get out on the road again and do what they do best; make the audience feel the blues deep down.

It is no secret that Jake Green Band are looking to play abroad more in the near future, expanding on their existing international goodwill on the blues circuits.

The guitarist and singer Jake Green has played with just about everyone on the danish blues scene, not least because he's been a steady host at the legendary, 17 year old, thursday night blues jam at Mojos for the past years. Jake has also taken several trips to places around the world to get some "milage" and road experience on the foreign stages of Austin, NY, London, Thailand and Spain. He has reaped nothing but positive experiences, and has returned with more finely honed skills every time.

The bassplayer Thomas Birck has lived Chicago, cutting his teeth in the southside blues caverns of legend, developing a solid feel for groove, and an uncanny habbit of always being right in the pocket.

Drummer Hans Rosenberg has recorded over 140 albums, and played all over the world with countless big name acts including Nanook, Poul Dissing, Ole Frimer, Uffe Steen and Rasmus Lyberth Band.

The combination of this rock steady backing is the brick wall upon which Jake Green gets to shine.
